How to work out your ring size

Ring Sizing

In Australia, ring sizes are labelled with letters, usually from F to Z.

Women's sizes generally fall into:

  • Small: I to M

  • Medium: N to Q

  • Large: R to U

Men's sizes are often larger, but not always.
Each letter size matches a specific inner ring diameter in millimetres, which should match the width of your finger.

1. Choose a method:
You can use a string or paper with a ruler, a ring sizer, or measure an existing ring.

2. String/Paper Method:
Wrap a piece of string or paper around the base of your finger, ensuring it's snug but not too tight. Mark where the ends meet. Measure the string or paper with a ruler to get the circumference in millimetres.

3. Measuring an Existing Ring:
Place the ring on a flat surface and measure the inside diameter with a ruler.

4. Convert to Ring Size:
Use a ring size chart to find the corresponding ring size based on the circumference or diameter you measured.

Tips for accuracy:

Measure at different times of day:
Fingers can swell or shrink throughout the day, so measure at different times to get a more accurate result.

Consider knuckle size:
If your knuckle is significantly larger than the base of your finger, measure both points and choose a size in between.

Sizing up if needed:
If you're between sizes or the ring is quite wide, it's generally better to size up for a more comfortable fit.
